Let's face it, a lot of people mill around outside the hospital, and our aim is to make the hospital exterior as pleasant as possible. Many hospitals have areas for patients to stroll and the BigPlanters' self-watering planters and concrete planters are ideal as they fit into an outdoor background. Many hospitals put planters on both sides of the entrance to help hospital foot traffic move toward the doors. The large capacity is handy to funnel people in an orderly manner as they enter the building. The planters are ideal as deterrents from keeping people from cutting across the property and creating their own footpaths. We can put a logo with the hospital name on the front of any of our self-watering planters or tree tubs.
Many hospitals have multiple buildings and multiple locations so using BigPlanters adds a consistency to any hospital property, particularly if the planter has a logo on the front. A hospital campus with one consistent look offers a calming effect to those entering the hospital property. The planters can even extend to the parking garage where a flower pot by every elevator and by every entry/exit looks beautiful.
The advantage of our self-watering planter is that once the receptacle is filled there is no need to replenish the water supply for at least 90 days. This significantly cuts down on maintenance costs and insures that your beautiful plants will not wilt under the summer sun. The planter weighs 25 pounds when empty so we can ship UPS…but when it is full it weigh over 300 pounds so it will not go anywhere. There is a spigot located on the front of the planter to easily drain the water if you want to move it. An overflow spout is built in to the top of the planter in case of heavy rains so your plants will not drown.
We manufacture the self-watering planters in seven standard colors: ice, white, charcoal, red, blue emerald green or sand. For orders of 25 or more planters we can match any color you may desire. All of our planters can have a custom logo applied to the to the sides. Hospitals sometimes utilize a custom logo of their choosing or simply put a standard "No Smoking" logo into the side of the planter.
Our concrete planters come in 4 sizes: 3' (600 lbs.), 4' (1100 lbs.), 6' (3000 lbs.), and 7' (4000 lbs.). Due to the size of the planters, they provide excellent security barriers.
